Sprint to offer OnePlus 5G phone, could be OnePlus 7 Pro 5G

Presently, the corporate produces a single 5G smartphone, the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G, which launched alongside the UK's first 5G network firstly of June. Toss in that 90Hz screen and you should definitely expect shorter endurance in theory than the 4G-enabled OnePlus 7 Pro.

Exactly which OnePlus phone it will be, however, hasn't been confirmed. We tested its network speeds in Dallas on the V50 ThinQ, and you can read our thoughts on Sprint's 5G network here. Stopping short of any other details, Sprint only says that additional information will be announced "soon".

Of course there's an off chance that the device in question is the OnePlus 7T Pro, which is due in a few months. More areas will get the 5G service in the coming weeks such as New York, Washington DC, Los Angeles, and Phoenix. Otherwise, you're getting Sprint's regular 4G service.

T-Mobile, of course, is looking to finish its merger with Sprint, though it is unclear if the new phone will work with T-Mobile's 5G network in addition to Sprint's.

"We value OnePlus' reputation for balancing high-end quality at a great value", said Dow Draper, Sprint chief commercial officer, in a press release.

Phone carrier Sprint said Tuesday it would extend its US -based 5G service to Chinese-made OnePlus phones. Now early-adopters can pick the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G or the LG V50 ThinQ 5G if they want a phone, or the HTC 5G Hub if they want a mobile router. This new smartphone gives Sprint customers another exciting option for accessing their True Mobile 5G experience.
