Lukaku trains with Anderlecht, wants to quit Utd

It's safe to say that Lukaku's Manchester United career didn't exactly go as planned. Apparently, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wanted Lukaku to train with the club's under-23.

It's understood Inter have had a third bid of £72million, including £12m in bonuses, accepted after day of negotiations with Lukaku's agent Federico Pastorello in London.

The window for Italian clubs to register doesn't close until September 2, giving Inter more than three weeks to finalise a deal with United regarding the purchase of Lukaku.

Amidst all this, Lukaku was found training at Anderlecht, with reports that the Belgian had done so without permission from Manchester United.

He even trained with former club Anderlecht's under-18 squad for a day but was supposed to report at Carrington on Tuesday, which he failed to do.

The 26-year-old is hoping to leave Old Trafford for pastures new just two years after his big-money switch from Everton.

It is the second time in a week Lukaku has landed himself in trouble after being reprimanded last week for posting confidential training data on Twitter.

However, sources have told ESPN FC that Luke Shaw, who was bottom of the list, was among those unhappy the information had been made public, prompting Solskjaer to rebuke the Belgian.

For a number of days, it seemed a swap between Juventus and United with Dybala heading to the Premier League and Lukaku heading the other way was on the cards.

Everton had asked about the possibility of taking the 29-year-old, who signed a new contract in December, on loan for the season.

Now The Athletic have revealed exactly why the striker decided against returning for training.
