The three stars were announced during "The One Show" on Wednesday (31.07.19), and the official "Strictly" Twitter account later confirmed the news.

Reacting to the announcement, which was made public on her birthday on Monday, Xu said she was "thrilled and excited" to join the show.

'They said previously that low-rent reality stars like Jamie would not be allowed on the show but things now seem to have changed. I've had to keep it secret for so long... "From Albert Square to the Strictly dance floor - I just can't wait!" "So I'm looking forward to the possibility of making a fool of myself in front of millions of people ... there better be a buffet after the live shows".

That's the outsiders in the Strictly Come Dancing betting thus far, but who are the favourites?

Hosts Matt Baker and Alex Jones' stand-in Stacey Dooley announced that former England goalkeeper David James, comedian Chris Ramsey and EastEnders star Emma Barton will be strutting their stuff on the dancefloor in September, all hoping to be the one to lift the Glitterball trophy.

This year's series will see the return of judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli while Motsi Mabuse, sister of Strictly professional Oti, will replace Dame Darcey Bussell on the panel.

They then discussed "Big Sam" Allardyce joining the star-studded line-up, as presenter Kate Garraway quizzed Ben on how he thought his pal would get on.

More names will be revealed in the coming days and weeks, with rumours that Sam Allardyce, Jamie Laing and Anneka Rice are taking part this year after 'Good Morning Britain " s Iain Lee apparently accidentally leaking their names. In 2015, she toured the world with live dance show Burn the Floor, which included runs at venues in the famed theater districts of Broadway in NY and the West End in London.
