Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2

The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 is officially announced and this time Samsung's fitness wearable comes with a bigger screen and intuitive touch bezel.

Samsung has launched a new smartwatch, dubbed Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 ahead of its Galaxy Unpacked event, where the company will be launching its upcoming Galaxy Note 10 series of smartphones. But place your finger on the edge of the display and turn it clockwise or counterclockwise and you'll see Samsung's signature rotatable bezel control has returned.

We've compared the two smartwatches to answer these important questions and help you decide which smartwatch is for you. Last month according to a rumour the said watch will come with an electrocardiogram feature.

The Galaxy Note 10 Plus will measure 162.3 x 77.1 x 7.9 mm and 198 g while the Galaxy Note 10 will measure 151 x 71.8 x 7.9 mm and 167 g. It's suited to smaller wrists, but still perfectly suited to larger wrists as well.

This will allow you to access the internet on the watch, without it having to tether to your smartphone, allowing you to make and receive calls, send messages and stream music all on the watch.

The latter is partly thanks to the absence of a physical rotating bezel.

The new Watch Active2 comes in two different sizes: 40mm and 44mm.

Since the Watch has the word "Active" in it, there have been additions to that department as well. The rotating bezel is used for scrolling and navigating the watch's interface.

Second mass rally: Police detain hundreds at Moscow opposition protest
The ruling United Russia dominates the national parliament and Navalny plus his allies are starved of media air-time. And that's been put down to discontent over the economy and falling incomes.

Inside, the watches are pretty much identical.

The smartwatch is powered by an Exynos 9110 SoC clocked at 1.15 GHz and packs in 768 MB RAM along with 4 GB of internal storage. Active2 comes in a 40mm option and a 44mm option.

The Galaxy Watch Active2 also supports wireless charging, just like its predecessor.

DJ Koh, Samsung's president of IT and mobile communications, said the focus on health and wellbeing was created to improve the lives of its users.

For the Active2, Samsung has doubled the amount of photodiodes to eight, which, in theory, enables faster and more precise heart rate monitoring. The watch can also track your stress levels in real-time and perform sleep analysis algorithms.

All models are equally light and comfortable, which is important when exercising. Interestingly enough, they plan to sell both versions. We tested this and 30 seconds after starting our workout, the Galaxy Watch automatically began tracking our run. The LTE versions will be available on September 27 through AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, and Verizon.

That's considerably more than the original version. It's capable, comfortable, and stylish.

It is a lot more expensive, however, so you're got to really want those two features. Samsung Pay and Bixby are included as well, and when paired with a Samsung phone, you can use your Galaxy Watch Active 2 to snap photos, record video, set a photo timer, and more.
