FC Salzburg vs. Chelsea - Football Match Report

Christian Pulisic scored twice and Pedro found the net in outrageous fashion as Chelsea beat RB Salzburg 5-3 in a pre-season friendly.

From the left, Ross Barkley clipped in a right-football ball over the top of the Salzburg defence to the on-running Pedro, who, on the edge of the six-yard box, pulled off an outrageous backheel volley to send the ball beyond the keeper.

Jerome Onguene and a double from Takumi Minamino got Salzburg on the scoreboard.

Michy Batshuayi added Chelsea's fifth goal in the 88th minute.

The game was Chelsea's second high-scoring friendly win in three days.

Meanwhile, credit goes to Chelsea's new manager Frank Lampard as well, as he has managed to restore the Blues to their winning ways - especially after drawing his first game in charge against the Bohemians and then losing to Kawasaki Frontale later. On Sunday, they beat Reading 4-3.

United States 'has intelligence Hamza bin Laden is dead'
US intelligence played a role in the operation that killed the younger bin Laden, the source said, declining to elaborate. He was described on Twitter as "an emerging al Qaeda leader" that had been threatening the USA and its respective allies.

"He showed his quality".

"He's champion of England, he played for Chelsea, played for Stoke in the Premier League, played for Everton in the Premier League, played for France".

Mourinho, who won two Premier League titles at Stamford Bridge when Lampard was a player, says there is plenty of talent at his old midfielder's disposal.

"I feel that he has potential, I feel that he loves, which is a very important thing, he loves - that's the reason why he is there - and I wish him the best but only time can speak and in a few years we will see".

"We want to concede zero goals, so it is a concern and we want to improve on it."
