It is not clear if ASUS also plans to boost clocks even higher with the already bolstered Snapdragon 855+ in the ROG Phone II, but my guess is it will not.

The new Snapdragon 855 Plus is primarily created to give a boost in mobile gaming, and offers a way for smartphone makers to differentiate their standard and gaming smartphone lineups. The clock speed on the other high-power cores remains unchanged at 2.42GHz, and the A55-based slower CPUs are still 1.8GHz. It's possible that the default 585MHz clock rate in the Snapdragon 855 is now upwards of 670MHz - ~672-673MHz, but that's just a guess.
