Meghan Markle, Kate and Pippa Middleton attend Wimbledon final together

Both Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle are big fans of the Wimbledon tennis tournament.

Duchesses Meghan and Catherine attended Wimbledon on Saturday to watch Serena Williams and Simona Halep compete in the women's singles final.

Meghan was there to cheer on her friend Serena Williams, who made it to the finals but was defeated by Romanian player Simona Halep. Wearing a breezy blue floral dress, round sunglasses, and a pretty side braid, Pippa appeared to be having a blast in her seat next to Meghan.

"She's such a great friend and a great person as well", Williams, 37, expressed.

But the 58-year-old tennis fan says that he in fact posing for a selfie on his iPhone with the players in the background which is why he was left baffled when he was asked: "Please give them privacy".

When BBC presenter Sue Barker informed the winning finalist on court she was about to meet Kate, Halep replied: "That's unbelievable, I didn't know that, so it's even more special now". "She saw that she played unbelievably, and that's just the kind of person that she is", she said.

Laurent Koscielny refuses to travel with Arsenal on tour
Koscielny , however, was having none of it and saw the new contract as having to take a pay-cut, which he isn't prepared to do. SunSport exclusively revealed that Arsenal will fine Koscielny and force him to train with the kids after his shock move.

The Duchess of Cambridge was given some advice on growing strawberries as she arrived at Wimbledon for the women's singles final.

Pippa also spent Friday at Wimbledon, when she attended the men's semifinals.

Williams and her husband, Alexis Ohanian, were guests at Harry and Meghan's May 2018 wedding in Windsor. The royals were on hand to watch the tennis legend chase her 24th Grand Slam title. And that was before she was told that as the new champion, she'd get to meet them after.

Katie Nicholl, author of Harry and Meghan, said the foursome are set to deliberately avoid each other when they embark on their respective royal tours in Pakistan and South Africa this coming autumn.

Wolf Hall actor Sir Mark Rylance, Doctor Who's Jodie Whittaker, War & Peace star Lily James and Poldark's Aidan Turner also received an invite to the Royal Box.
