MacBook Air gets price cut as entry MacBook Pro adds Touch Bar

Gone is the version without the Touch Bar and in its place is a cheaper Touch Bar version, so there are now three Touch Bar versions of the 13-inch MacBook Pro. Yes, that notebook was severely outdated with its 5th Gen CPU and ancient design; however, the non-Retina MacBook Air was the last remaining Apple laptop without the troubled Butterfly-switch keyboard.

The base model is priced at $1,299, though students can get it for $1,199. "As a comparison, the previous entry-level 13" MacBook Pro without a TouchBar was running on a 2.3GHz dual-core 7th gen Intel Core i5 processor (Turbo Boost up to 3.6GHz). Apple will likely introduce new iPad and MacBook models at an October press event following the mid-September iPhone keynote.

The updated MacBook Air features True Tone Display that automatically adjusts the color temperature of the display for a more comfortable viewing experience.
