‘Friends’ to leave Netflix for WarnerMedia’s new streaming service, HBO Max

The long untitled streaming service will be called HBO Max.

HBO Max has the exclusive streaming rights for all 236 episodes of Friends and all episodes of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Pretty Little Liars. As part of the deal, HBO Max is paying $425 million over the next five years to become the exclusive streaming home for Friends, a Warner Bros. -owned series. Reese Witherspoon and Greg Berlanti will produce half a dozen original feature films for the platform, among many other exciting originals. It will also be the streaming home of Friends, a show people inexplicably still go insane for even though it's 2019, there are a gazillion new things to watch, and Friends is still Friends.

WarnerMedia announced the name for its upcoming streaming service - HBO Max - on Tuesday and confirmed it will be the new home for the beloved NBC sitcom "Friends" along with new original programming.

The news we expected has finally arrived regarding the future of Friends on Netflix. Additionally, the service's original content will also include projects with Anna Kendrick, Kaley Cuoco and Ansel Elgort. Now, the contract is coming up, and Warner Bros. wants its show back. And even if it remains a stand-alone, as well as being in HBO Max, will the comics work there?

Scheduled to launch commercially in spring of 2020, the digital service will be "anchored with and inspired by the legacy of HBO's excellence and award-winning storytelling" with exclusive original programming dubbed Max Originals, while also highlighting WarnerMedia's extensive portfolio of brands and libraries.

New Stadia Information And Multiplayer Support Got Disclosed By Google
Speaking of the Stadia controller, the FAQ says it makes use of BLE for setup, nevertheless it connects via WiFi for gameplay. Stadia will support four-player couch-co-op sessions for starters, with four Stadia controllers working in tandem.

The forthcoming streaming service has been a top priority ever since AT&T took control of WarnerMedia, then known as Time Warner, last summer.

HBO Max will debut in the spring of 2020, and promises "10,000 hours of premium content" at launch.

Nor is there any reason to believe we could use Time Warner programming or AT&T networks to hurt related markets. "Thanks for the memories, gang", Netflix said Tuesday in a Twitter post labelled "The One Where We Have To Say Goodbye".

Warner Bros. Animation and Amblin Entertainment are creating an animated Gremlins series based on the original movie (pictured).

Tony Goncalves, CEO of Otter Media, now oversees the development of HBO Max with Andy Forssell, also from Otter Media and formerly CEO of Hulu, as the general manager.
