Gas explosion at US mall injures 21

The explosion happened Saturday morning at a shopping center in Plantation, west of Fort Lauderdale in Broward County.

The local fire department says between 15 and 20 people have been injured, including two seriously, with final numbers still to be confirmed.

An explosion obliterated a vacant restaurant at a shopping center in South Florida on Saturday, injuring at least 21 people and showering the parking lot with debris.

Gordon said there's uncertainty about the number of injured individuals because authorities are still encountering people who left the scene and then returned.
