AMD cuts Radeon 5700 GPU prices just two days before their release

If you are interested in learning more about the performance you can expect from the latest NVIDIA RTX 2070 Super and RTX 2060 Super graphics cards recently unveiled by NVIDIA. AMD's new Radeon RX 5700 XT was not good enough for $449, and even $399 is expensive - especially compared to the competitive threads/price performance between Ryzen CPUs and Intel's range of CPUs. The RTX 2060, 2070, and 2080 will have Super versions.

"As you have seen, competition is heating up in the GPU market", AMD's email about the price cuts states.

I do, however, plan on putting together a new build very soon, so am curious if either the new Navi or Super cards can give me a good reason to move on from my RTX 2070. A cynical stance on Nvidia's new Super graphics cards could easily conclude that the refresh is more of a GPU reshuffling and rebinning which could quite easily have been in place since Turing's original launch in 2018. The "intermediate" architecture allows AMD to carry the benefits of the GCN architecture over to the Navi while at the same time allowing it to be scalable for the most part.

Biden says he was surprised by Harris attack at Democrats´ debate
She was due to move on to SC , where she and Biden could expect to be pressed on their tense debate exchange. Harris's comments in Iowa did not go unnoticed by the Biden campaign.

Today is launch day for a whole salvo of AMD hardware.

But that may no longer be the case, as AMD is striking back at rival Nvidia by announcing pre-launch price drops on its Radeon RX 5700 line. Its average game clock will hover in the 1.75 GHz but can boost to 1.9 GHz.

But with AMD's new pricing strategy, we have to ask the question, did AMD plan this out too? What AMD did well is that they have opted that 8GB GDDR6 graphics memory to run at 14 Gbps, which is nice and fast graphics memory at just the right volume size. One the next two pages some in-house photos, after which we then head onwards into the review.
