Suns trade Jackson to Grizzlies in four-player deal

The Memphis Grizzlies are trading Kyle Korver and Jevon Carter to the Phoenix Suns for De'Anthony Melton, Josh Jackson, a 2020 second-round pick and a 2021 conditional second-round pick.

Korver finished last season with the Utah Jazz and has been traded this offseason to the Memphis Grizzlies and now the Suns.

The opportunity to slot in alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo should also be an appealing prospect for the 38-year-old, as that would seem like an ideal pairing to open up the floor and leave him with quality three-point looks.

The move opened up salary cap space to sign him to a three-year, $51 million deal. The Grizzlies then sent the sharpshooter to the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday. Korver began 2018-19 with the Cavaliers before he was traded to Utah in late November.

All signs point toward the Suns and Korver reaching a buyout agreement so the veteran guard can sign with a contender.
