Writer Jean Carroll Claims She Was Raped by Trump in the '90s

Carroll added that she never reported the incident to the police and that only two of her friends were informed about it in confidence. She alleged the Trump incident occurred at the department store Bergdorf Goodman in either the fall of 1995 or the spring of 1996.

In a statement released Friday night, Trump said that it never happened and that he did not know Carroll. She is trying to sell a book, so that will be her motivation. "It should be sold in the fiction section", Trump said. She says she started the list the day the New York Times exposé on Harvey Weinstein was published.

US President Donald Trump has pushed aside allegations that he raped a girl in a department store dressing room in the mid-Nineties as "fiction". Some of those encounters are in her book. A Modest Proposal, in which she accuses Trump of raping her. "Sexual violence is not political".

At least 15 other women have come forward with a range of accusations against Trump, ranging from sexual harassment and assault to lewd behavior, from before he was President. Carroll said she did not come forward with her story before the 2016 elections because "there were so many women coming forward".

Trump has been accused of sexual misconduct before and was heard boasting of sexual assault in the "Access Hollywood" tape. But she says the other advised her against telling anyone saying his lawyers would "bury" her.

That's when things turned violent, according to Carroll's account. As we head to the dressing rooms, I'm laughing aloud and saying in my mind: I'm gonna make him put this thing on over his trousers! They both jokingly suggested that the other should try it on. For someone who has never been in a situation like that, laughter might sound absurd or like a "mixed message", despite her physical struggle. "Also, I am a coward". "I really thought I had done it".

She has been writing her column "Ask E. Jean" for 26 years at Elle magazine, but she made a decision to write a book when sexual assault allegations against Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein surfaced and the #MeToo movement began, she said.

Carroll has not mentioned the article or her allegation on Twitter but this tweet is posted to the top of her page. She reiterated that Trump assaulted her in the '90s.

Fernando Torres To Retire From Professional Football
He was at his most prolific at Liverpool between 2007 and 2011, when he scored 81 goals in 142 games across all competitions. Fernando Torres will hang up his boots for good after taking on Andres Iniesta and David Villa in a J.

She added that she is a "mature woman" who can "keep going" despite the alleged traumatic encounter with Trump 23 years ago.

Carroll recalled with astonishment that she kept laughing as the situation escalated. "I actually thought he had grown extra arms".

CBS declined to comment.

In South Carolina Saturday, some of the 2020 presidential candidates vying to take on Trump, were asked about the latest allegations against him.

Mr Trump allegedly called the popular columnist "that advice lady" and asked her to help him pick out lingerie.

"He was very good looking at the time and personable", she said. She said she would not out of respect for women on the border - and around the world - who are being raped "around the clock". Trump would have been about 49 at the time.

She initially planned a book in which she traveled the United States and spoke with women about their problems with men, but she decided on a more personal account after the allegations against Harvey Weinstein surfaced.
