Trudeau to welcome Raptors, Trump uncertain

"We thought about that, that's an interesting question", said Trump, while sitting next to Trudeau who was in Washington to discuss, in part, the ratification of the "new NAFTA" trade deal.

"That was a great job by a great team".

In a recent interview, Nurse noted that he and his players already have plans of meeting with Canada's prime minister, Justin Trudeau.

U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday said he was prepared to raise the case of two Canadians detained by Beijing with Chinese President Xi Jinping, an act that could potentially ease a major dispute between Canada and China. Justin Trudeau and Donald Trump's meeting today was so uncomfortable that fans refuse to watch.

Both players have dominated football in the past decade, but Messi has been criticised for failing to deliver on the global stage. After last year's World Cup last-16 exit and Messi's brief worldwide absence, the South American giants have a lot of work ahead.

After winning the championship in 2017, several players, including star guard Steph Curry, said they'd skip the White House visit over Trump's denigration of African-American athletes who took a knee during the National Anthem to protest social injustice. Trump was so insulted he eventually revoked the team's invite. The Raptors are the only National Basketball Association team outside of the U.S.

Midway through the 2018 NBA Finals between the Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers, Trump made it clear that he would not invite either team to the White House.

"We're moving forward in the ratification process along with you", Trudeau said.

Toronto Raptors head coach Nick Nurse addressed whether he would go to the White House if he was invited. They weren't invited back by President Bill Clinton when they repeated as champs in 1993 though. When asked, Trump said he would have to "think about it".
