O.J. Simpson Joins Twitter After 25th Anniversary of Nicole's Murder

The account has not yet been verified, but in the clip Simpson says it is "the only official one".

A smiling and relaxed-looking Simpson promises in the video that soon "you'll get to read all my thoughts and opinions on just about everything".

Just 12 hours after sharing his debut post, Simpson now has 132,000 Twitter followers - and counting. "I've got a little getting even to do, so God bless, take care". So, it should be a lot of fun.

"Mr. Simpson is the most positive person I've ever met", LaVergne told CNN. "He's also very well informed on current events".

Target stores experiencing outages nationwide
An employee at the Target in Jersey City confirmed that all registers were down at Target locations across the country. Target representatives have yet to say what might have caused the issue or when the issue is expected to be resolved.

If the account truly belongs to Simpson, its launch is oddly timely: June 12 marked the 25th anniversary of the murders of Simpson's ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend, Ron Goldman. Nor will he comment on the LA thing.

As of Saturday morning, the video has been played 2.19 million times and TheRealOJ32 account has 102K followers.

Simpson was ultimately acquitted of the crime after a televised trial that riveted the nation and raised thorny issues of racism, police misconduct, celebrity and domestic violence. In 1997, a civil suit filed by the victims' families found the disgraced football player responsible for the wrongful deaths of both Brown and Goldman. And Monday is the 25th anniversary of the slow-speed chase that captured a nation's attention as TV viewers watched Simpson evade police in a white Ford Bronco before surrendering on two murder charges. He was sentenced to serve a minimum of nine years without parole and a maximum of 33 years. Over one year ago, Simpson did a sit-down interview with Tim Graham.

It's quite a way for Simpson to get back into the headlines.
