Taco Bell is creating a beefy, cheesy paradise of a hotel

The company is calling it the "biggest expression of the Taco Bell lifestyle to date", though it doesn't clarify what exactly the Taco Bell lifestyle means.

The new hotel, which will open in Palm Springs on August 9, "reimagines what a hotel stay can be", according to a company news release.

Taco Bell is taking over a hotel in Palm Springs, Calif., for three nights this August.

While the hotel takeover is the company's biggest marketing event to date, Taco Bell has been reinventing itself for years.

It first launched in 2015 in Chicago and more have opened in cities such as San Francisco, New York and Atlanta. And it has added alcohol to its menu in several locations.

The resort, a "tacoasis" full of food, fun and all things Taco Bell, is appropriately named The Bell.

Visitors at the hotel can act as unofficial brand ambassadors on social. And, natch, a taco-centric gift shop.

Additionally, guests will be able to chill poolside on hot-sauce inspired floaties and pretty themselves up at Taco Bell's on-site salon, where they can receive Taco Bell-inspired nail art, fades, and even get their hair braided.

"It could be just one tweet in a sea of a million that's like, 'This is interesting, is there something more to this?'" Prince said.

The hotel is the latest push by Taco Bell to try to differentiate itself from other fast feeders beyond offering limited-time items such as Nacho Fries, which were promoted with movie trailer-inspired campaigns. So, if you want to be in with a chance of staying at the hotel, then keep in mind to start booking next month.
