Diplomat comments on Lavrov’s agenda for talks with Pompeo

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani warned last week that Tehran could resume uranium enrichment at a higher grade if the European powers, China and Russian Federation did not develop a plan to thwart punitive US sanctions on Iran's banking and energy sectors.

The UAE did not give details about the nature of the sabotage or who was behind it.

Even Pompeo has acknowledged that those goals may be too optimistic.

German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said he had told Pompeo during their Monday meeting: "We do not want it to come to a military conflict (between the United States and Iran)". She found the time. The Europeans - they're diplomats, after all - blamed the decision on scheduling difficulties.

The Trump administration has for more than a week raised the alarm about threats from Iran, but has refused to elaborate on specifics. Mogherini reached for a different extreme after meeting with Pompeo. "He's always welcome, obviously, but there are no precise plans for the moment". Russian Federation and the USA are at loggerheads over a number of global issues, including the political and civil unrest prevalent in Venezuela and Syria.

"We all agree in Europe that this [Iran nuclear] deal is necessary for our security", he said. "That continues to be the case", said Pompeo's top Iran adviser, Brian Hook.

As a result, he seems to acquire some “lady luck” which puts the brakes on his ability to spoil the games of others. The success of Ocean’s 11 has led to the development of a new spin-off, Oceans 8 which is due to be released in 2018.

The three governments, however, dismissed "ultimatums" from Iran last week, after Tehran threatened moves that could jeopardize the agreement.

The highest-level talks in 10 months, the meeting comes as the two top world powers are at odds over Venezuela, Ukraine, North Korea, Iran and Syria, to name several hard issues that will be on the agenda.

Hunt noted that the United Kingdom is "worried about the risk of a conflict happening by accident with an escalation that is unintended really on either side".

"Most of all, we need to make sure we don't end up putting Iran back on the path to renuclearization".

Mr Pompeo has previously criticised the EU's attempts to keep the Iran nuclear deal alive by creating a financial "Special Purpose Vehicle" to allow European Union nations and Iran to trade essential goods like food and medicine.

The U.S. pulled out of a 2015 nuclear accord between Tehran and six world powers a year ago, saying the agreement does nothing to stop Iran from developing missiles or destabilizing the Middle East.
