Samsung is Canceling Galaxy Fold Preorders

Samsung is Canceling Galaxy Fold Preorders

In an email sent to customers who pre-ordered the device, Samsung mentions that it still isn't able to give an anticipated ship date before asking them to confirm that they still want the device.

If youve pre-ordered, you can cancel at any time before the phone ships. But we still don't have an updated release date for the Galaxy Fold, and the company is now notifying customers that their pre-orders could soon be canceled. So, in some cases, reviewers are to blame, but majority did not try to remove that layer, so the Galaxy Fold does have an underlying issue that Samsung needs to address, which is something the company already admitted.

Below, there's a button customers need to click to confirm they'd like to keep their order.

Samsung added that customers who preordered the device will not be charged until the item ships.

Mnuchin Keeps Trump’s Tax Returns Under Lock And Key
Trump has long resisted calls to release his taxes, claiming he is unable to release the documents because he is under audit . With Treasury's rejection, House Democrats may seek other avenues to obtain the president's financial records.

KitGuru Says: Due to the length of the delay, Samsung is required to go through this re-confirmation process with pre-order customers due to consumer protection laws in some countries.

A spokesperson for Samsung told the Sun that, in some cases, the screen malfunctions had been caused by 'impact on the top and bottom exposed areas of the [device's] hinge'.

The Galaxy Ford was originally scheduled to be released in the USA on April 26, but its release was delayed due to the issue of poor screen quality in products provided for review. The reviewers, including CNBC's Steve Kovach, reportedly that the screen started uncontrollably flickering after just a few hours of use.

Meanwhile, others said they didn't remove the protective film, but the device still stopped working. For some users, it didn't work properly and led to multiple issues on the device. Whether the Galaxy Fold will actually make it to market isn't clear, but one thing is for sure - Huawei must be loving all this drama.
