Met Gala exhibit explores camp in fashion

Responsible for some of the greatest Met Gala looks of all time, Rihanna's mantra seems to be "go big or go home". She paired the look with a black vertical fascinator that gives royal wedding attendees a run for their money.

In keeping with her outfit's black and white color theme, she wore a black tulle headpiece that practically reached to the sky. Her accessories included an extra-tiny black leather handbag covered in floral design, and a super-tall pair of black platform boots.

"Met gala countdown #fashion #metgala #camp #ladygaga", she captioned the picture of herself in the dress on Instagram. When it comes to the Met Gala, it's all about the red carpet, or in this case, the pink carpet. The exhibition that is shown at the event, "Camp: Notes on Fashion", opens to the public on Thursday, May 9, 2019 and closes on September 8, 2019. She topped off her look with jeweled necklaces that made her ensemble even more dazzling.

"Back in the New York Groove", she wrote. This year's theme is a celebration of all things gaudy and camp and is titled Camp: Notes On Fashion, a message that certainly reflects Gaga's iconic style.

Trump threatens China with higher tariffs to reach trade deal
Trump repeated a threat to raise the rate on existing tariffs and tax almost all of China's exports to the United States. Once he took office, Trump's relationship with his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, seemed to get off to a good start.

After 2018's religious theme, which saw stars kitted out in grand gowns largely based on clerical clothing, we anticipate this year is going to be a riot of colour and creativity on the red carpet.

Moreover, Melania recently called Wintour small-minded and insecure when Wintour confirmed she would not be putting Melania on a Vogue cover. "Whether it's pop camp, queer camp, high camp or political camp - Trump is a very camp figure - I think it's very timely".

Among others expected this year: Chadwick Boseman, Nick Jonas, Priyanka Chopra, Katy Perry, Kerry Washington, Cam Newton, Venus Williams, Jared Leto, Wendi Murdoch and Ryan Murphy.

The brightest stars in fashion and Hollywood collide Monday at the Met Gala, the biggest party of the year thrown by the venerable Metropolitan Museum of Art in NY.
