Woods to receive U.S.’ highest national honour on Monday

Even though the 15-time major victor isn't playing at the Wells Fargo Championship this week, he is still on the minds of golfers and media alike and Rose spoke Tuesday about just how incredible Woods' return has been.

Press Secretary Sarah Sanders confirmed the event on her own Twitter account Thursday. Published reports following the Masters last month had Tiger speaking to his schedule.

President Trump tweeted last month his intent to honor Woods after his outstanding victory at the Masters, saying in part "because of his incredible Success & Comeback in Sports (Golf) and, more importantly, LIFE". Both are second all-time to Jack Nicklaus, who was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2005 by George W. Bush. Earlier this week, The Post reported that undocumented workers at Trump National Golf Club Westchester in NY said they were sometimes told to work extra hours without pay.

"Well, I've known Donald for a number of years", Woods said.
