Villa's El Ghazi has red card rescinded, Leeds' Bamford charged

The fall-out from Leeds United's scrap with Aston Villa is reminiscent of their 1-1 draw with Brenford in October: charges, suspensions and the same questions about why Leeds are taking the rough end of the stick from the Football Association's disciplinary department.

'In addition, Leeds United and Aston Villa have been charged with a breach of FA Rule E20.

Leeds could face Villa again in the playoffs, when Bielsa's men will have to rouse themselves from the disappointment of missing out on automatic promotion.

And former Liverpool midfielder Charlie Adam believes that the Egyptian should have played to the whistle which would have stopped Klich from scoring in the first place.

In an altercation with Anwar El Ghazi after Leeds had scored a controversial goal, Bamford went to ground clutching his face. "The facts are what everyone saw", the Argentine tactician explained after the game, as quoted by the Daily Mirror.

In some ways it seemed a relief for the players to know their fate as they gave a much more focused display against Villa last Sunday.

Both Leeds and Villa have also been charged with failing to control their players after Mateusz Klich's goal for the hosts. "That's all I can say about something which is very clear".

Leeds can still be pipped by West Brom if they lose and the Baggies win their game.

"It is a kind of fair play that is usually on the football pitch". Marcelo Bielsa's side have slipped away in recent games.

Bielsa will want his team to go into the play-offs with a confidence boosting display against relegated Ipswich and is likely to pick his strongest possible side.

Sheffield and Norwich City have already secured Premier League promotion, while Leeds will be one of four teams to contest the final promotion spot in the play-offs.
