Rep. Ocasio-Cortez came under fire from the Jewish Democratic Council of America, which objected to her suggestion of cutting US aid to Israel.

Ms Ocasio-Cortez put her plan before Congress in February, alongside Massachusetts Senator Ed Markey.

McCollum (D-Minn.) caught a whole bunch of flack back in October 2018 when she accused Israel of being an apartheid state.

She suggested it was wrong to put pictures of the 9/11 terrorist attack in NY on the front page of the newspaper because such images are "incredibly upsetting and triggering" and that discussing 9/11 is just a thinly disguised veneer for what is really a "politically motivated attack" on Omar.

Ocasio-Cortez is not the only socialist-leaning progressive Democrat to make comments about possibly cutting military aid to Israel.

Ocasio-Cortez was referring to an anti-Israel bill introduced by McCollum claiming that US military aid was being used by Israel to illegally detain Palestinian children.

Still, Ocasio-Cortez said she's taken steps to cut down on social media and take care of herself.

The Minnesota congresswoman was specifically referring to her most recent controversy, in which she was attacked by Donald Trump for calling his senior adviser Stephen Miller a white nationalist.

"The banks are the city's biggest employers, and it's just idiotic that she won't meet with us", one unnamed senior banking executive told the Fox Business journalists.
