Twitter Scorches AOC For Comment to Dan Crenshaw About Terrorism

Freshman Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) was mentioned 3,181 times on Fox News and Fox Business during the 6 weeks from February 25 to April 7 - 75 times a day - according to the liberal Media Matters for America. She then told Crenshaw, who lost an eye while fighting terrorism in Afghanistan, to go fight domestic terrorism. "I'm the guy who went overseas to make sure this never happens again, to take the fight to the enemy that committed these attacks", Crenshaw responded.

"You refuse to co-sponsor the 9/11 Victim's Compensation Fund, yet have the audacity to drum resentment towards Ilhan w/completely out-of-context quotes", Ocasio-Cortez wrote to Crenshaw on Twitter.

The liberal watchdog Media Matters for America, which did the research, called it an obsession and said the first term representative has become the network's latest bogeyman, "someone for hosts and guests to demonize, knock down and refer to whenever grievances need to be aired against the Democratic Party". "As an American Jew, I can tell you there's nothing more hurtful to us than having us linked to money and saying that all we care about is money-that's the Holy Grail when it comes to insulting Jews".

"From fundraising emails labeling @AOC a domestic terrorist to the constant questioning of @IlhanMN's loyalty to and love of country, the right-wing is actively inciting violence against young progressive women of color in Congress", organizers with the Women's March posted on Twitter. "Why don't you go do something about that?" She added, "Everyone always cites this number and it is nearly completely unsubstantiated and it nearly feels like it only comes from Amazon".

Ocasio-Cortez accused Crenshaw of twisting Omar's words.

According to a Time Magazine report, Ocasio-Cortez and her staff received special training from Capitol Police on assessing visitors that may be potential threats.

"Another hope would maybe be Jon Snow and Daenerys [Targaryen] just take the whole thing and they build a second [throne]", added Ocasio-Cortez when asked for a slightly less idealistic option.

But while Ocasio-Cortez may have shunned private sitdowns, she has not pulled any punches during hearings of the Financial Services Committee. You have to say that this person is looking at me odd, I am not comfortable with it, and I am going to talk to them and ask them why.

"That does not particularly animate me right now", Ocasio-Cortez said.
