Samsung Galaxy Fold up for pre-order in the United States from today

Samsung Galaxy Fold up for pre-order in the United States from today

To further sweeten the deal, Samsung is offering Galaxy Buds worth Rs 9,990 for Rs 4,999 (Benefit: Rs 5000).

The Samsung Galaxy Fold release date is April 26 in the U.S., while in the United Kingdom and Europe pre-orders open on April 26 and the Galaxy Fold will be available from May 3. It will ship with a pair of Samsung's Galaxy Buds but, even so, you're still paying more for the phone than you would for the majority of Samsung's Windows computers. Granted, it might not be the most flushed-out or seamlessly set-up option, but, speaking from experience, you can pretty much make any device feel at home in the Smart Things ecosystem, regardless or make of model, given enough time and effort. The phone's main display measures 7.3 inches, and that display folds right down the middle.

Some users may also prefer the physical rear fingerprint scanner on the rear of the S9 rather than the embedded sensor that sits under the A80's screen.

There is no word on when Samsung plans to launch the device but predict that it might be somewhere around late July.

The update shifts the build number of the Galaxy J6 to J600FNXXU3BSD1 and weighs in at a little over 1.2GB.

There are two speakers in total - the other is on the top edge of the phone - providing stereo sound tuned by AKG and boasting Dolby Atmos support. That means the only Fold you can buy from them is the AT&T version.

It tips the scales at 269g, making it one of the heaviest devices on the market. And given that the Galaxy Fold carries a suggested MSRP of $1,980, there's no doubt that customers will be looking to take advantage of any potential promotions so that they can afford such an expensive smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy A80 will be available in three colors: Angel Gold, Ghost White and Phantom Black. The size of the screen is 6.4 inches and the resolution of the phone is 720 x 1560 pixels, 19.5:9 ratio (~268 ppi density).

A massive win is the 6.7in 1080p AMOLED display.

When folded shut, the front-facing screen is small, and there is a noticeable gap above and below the display.

The device feels like a tablet when opened up. That's ahead of Samsung's April 26 launch date and, for people who really want the next-generation phone, is the best bet to get it on release day.

Using the Galaxy Fold, however, wasn't as smooth as she expected. The phone is also fairly thick when closed. It learns your preferences as you go and improves over time. At the time, it was revealed it would be available from April in the US, but it has been a long wait for more concrete release date news.
