Xiaomi teases launch of Redmi Y3 with 32MP front camera

Xiaomi claims to have sold over one million smartphones in the Redmi Note 7 series within one month of its launch, the company said in a press statement. In fact, the design appears to match one of the TENAA listings from earlier this month, presumed to be the Xiaomi Redmi 7 Pro. This suggests that the Redmi Y3 is coming to India soon.

The company has kept silent on any specs, but thanks to photos, uploaded by Sheth, we expect a selfie camera with more than 12 MP sensor, likely a 25 MP unit like the Realme U1. In the teaser you can see Xiaomi India managing director Manu Kumar Jain taking 32 selfies because the smartphone will sport a 32MP selfie camera. He not only confirmed their upcoming phone will support the popular game but also dissed another "Pro" device that can't run it. It is expected that the company might launch the Xiaomi Redmi Y3 smartphone in India. This also hints that the smartphone will come under the Redmi Y series which focus on selfie smartphones. Moreover, Redmi General Manager, Lu Weibing also mentioned a Redmi phone with 32 MP front camera on his Weibo account. The Mi Play series will debut in China, and the first smartphone - the Xiaomi Mi Play - is set to launch on December 24. The smartphone features a 5.99-inch HD+ full screen display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. Price is expected to be less compared to the other smartphone sporting the same chip.
