Victory for Spurs has lifted them back to third in the Premier League table.

Kane tangled with England teammate Fabian Delph during the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final clash and winced in pain after receiving a blow to his left ankle.

And they will be expecting to beat bottom-placed Huddersfield in the Premier League's early game.

Harry Kane sustained a significant lateral ligament injury to his left ankle against Manchester City in the Champions League, Tottenham have confirmed, but he has not been ruled out for the season.

Mauricio Pochettino subsequently hinted that he was anxious Kane will be unable to play again this season and Spurs have now confirmed that the injury is indeed a serious one.

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino hopes Lucas Moura's hat-trick in the 4-0 win against Huddersfield can inspire him to fill the void left by Harry Kane.

Sudan should free protesters, investigate use of force
The US called on Sudan's military to bring civilians into the transitional government and said a two-year timeline was too long. Bachelet says: "The crisis in Sudan has its roots in human rights grievances - economic, social, civil and political rights".

Even in the absence of Kane, Alli and Son, it was an exercise of attack versus defence from the off as Spurs were camped in Huddersfield's half, but with 10 men behind the ball the visitors were initially hard to break down.

It was a gamble to rest South Korea forward Son, who had scored two of Tottenham's three goals at the new stadium, including the victor against City.

This could mean Fernando Llorente comes in to lead the line with Lucas Moura and Son Heung-min in support.

Huddersfield were so limited in all areas, that Tottenham's make-shift line-up were able to play their way into rhythm.

Three minutes later, Tottenham struck again.

Lucas, a candidate to start against City, stole the show in the second half, controlling Eriksen's pass to smash home the third goal in the 87th minute. His hat-trick was complete deep into stoppage time, substitute Heung-Min Son's pass inside the defender finding Lucas who once again dispatched an excellent finish, the ideal end to a flawless afternoon.
