Adam Schiff just issued a stark warning about William Barr

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Wednesday she doesn't trust Attorney General William Barr and suggested his statements alleging President Donald Trump's campaign was spied on undermine Barr's independence as the nation's top law enforcement officer.

"I think spying on a political campaign, it's a big deal".

His reference during a congressional hearing to spying in the early days of the federal Russian Federation investigation echoed longstanding allegations by Trump and fellow Republicans that cast doubt on the origins of the probe in an apparent attempt to discredit Mueller, law enforcement and intelligence agencies.

U.S. Representative Adam Schiff, the Democratic chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, said the Justice Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation employees deserve better from their leader.

Barr says it was his responsibility as attorney general to make the call.

Co-host Willie Geist asked Coons if he is "confident" he will see the unredacted Mueller report.

But that was before Barr released his four-page analysis of Mueller's report, which said the president was not exonerated by the special counsel.

The Case For Releasing Mueller's Full Investigative Trump Report
Only 19 days into his job as acting attorney general, Barr ordered the Federal Bureau of Investigation to mount a rescue mission. Democratic Representative Jerry Nadler, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, said Mr Barr must had over the document.

Barr confirmed he was opening a review into whether the investigation, which eventually became Special Counsel Robert Mueller's collusion and obstruction probe, was justified.

The attorney general will release the Mueller report to Congress and the public within the next week. Barr will appear before a Senate panel today where lawmakers are expected to question him again about the Mueller report. That may be covered in the Mueller report. Democrats said they were concerned that Barr's letter portrayed the investigation's findings in an overly favorable way for Trump.

Attorney General William Barr, however, chose to not echo the president while he was delivering testimony before the Senate Appropriations Committee on Wednesday. Trump is attempting to divert attention from any potentially embarrassing revelations about his own activities to a full-frontal attack on what he says was the illegal launching of the probe in the first place.

On Tuesday, Barr had revealed under questioning in the House that he was reviewing Federal Bureau of Investigation conduct during the campaign. "But the question is whether it was predicated, adequately predicated".

Gardner said in a statement that he met with Barr earlier this year to discuss "the disconnect between federal and state marijuana laws" since most US states and several territories and tribes allow some form of marijuana.

Although he was non-specific about what he was referring to by spying, Barr mentioned the intelligence community. From there, Graham shifted to the subject of the unverified "Steele Dossier" compiled by former MI6 agent Christopher Steele.

The 22-month investigation revealed the Trump campaign did not collude with Russian Federation.
