Bears announce 2019 preseason schedule

The NFL announced its 2019 preseason schedule, which has the Browns facing the Washington Redskins at home in the first week of preseason play.

None of the Giants' four preseason games will be nationally televised.

The Bears' new defensive coordinator, who served as the Colts' head coach from 2012-17, will travel to Lucas Oil Stadium for his new team's third preseason game.

The Cardinals' first two preseason games will take place at State Farm Stadium in Glendale.

The Broncos will play in the 2019 Hall of Fame Game on Thursday, Aug. 1 at Tom Benson Stadium in Canton. They also will play in the regular season.

United States designates Iran's Revolutionary Guard as terrorist group
After reports of the planned us designation emerged on Friday, Iranian lawmakers warned Tehran will take reciprocal action. Pompeo said Monday that Iranian actors "ought to think more than twice about" targeting USA troops.

In addition, Buffalo will face the Carolina Panthers, a team that's turned into a common preseason opponent since the Bills hired Sean McDermott as head coach and Brandon Beane as general manager.

As expected, the Cowboys will stay on the West Coast to kick off the preseason with a matchup against San Francisco (Aug. 8-10) for the second consecutive year. The Colts were already known as an opponent, as that team previously announced there will be joint practices with the Browns leading into their preseason Week 2 contest.

Two road games follow, at Indianapolis and Tampa Bay.

The Cardinals' 2019 regular-season schedule will be released later this month.
