- Suitland native and Kevin Durant's "adopted brother" Cliff Dixon was shot and killed outside of an Atlanta-area nightclub, according to reports. He died at nearby Grady Memorial Hospital.

Dixon was reportedly in the Atlanta area celebrating his birthday at the SL Lounge. Police is now searching for the lone gunman who fled the scene on foot at around 1 a.m. Sports Illustrated found an image from his Instagram account promoting the celebration.

While Durant hasn't issued a statement about the death of his friend, his mom Wanda took to Twitter to offer condolences to Dixon's family and all of those he has left behind. Durant acknowledged his friend after being named Most Valuable Player for the 2013-14 season.

Police will be stationed at mosques around the country when they are open for prayers, and nearby when closed, said Ms Ardern. Aya Al-Umari, whose older brother Hussien Al-Umari died at the Al Noor mosque, wept as she talked about a kind man.

"There are days I come home upset after a game or a practice and you just brighten my day up", Durant said during his speech. "This is our trophy, too".

Dixon dated Mena, who's appeared on Love & Hip Hop's flagship show and Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta for about 10 months ending late previous year, according to TMZ.

Dixon played basketball for two seasons at Western Kentucky and then overseas, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
