Fox News host Tucker Carlson reacts to lewd recordings

Sunday night Media Matters, the liberal watchdog group, posted old excerpts from a radio show the Fox News staple used to call up.

The group released a video in which it compiles comments Tucker made on the Bubba The Love Sponge radio show between 2006 and 2011.

Media Matters revealed in audio recordings they unearthed that Carlson over a five year period (2006 - 2011) repeatedly made extremely misogynistic remarks and grotesquely attacked about a half-dozen women by name. And for the longest time, Tucker Carlson was kind of duking it out between, you know, Jeanine Pirro, Sean Hannity, uh, Laura Ingram over who could be the most disgusting, but Tucker Carlson, thanks to media matters, has now taken the lead as the most disgusting human being to work at Fox News. He continued: "Rather than express the usual ritual contrition, how about this: I'm on television every weeknight for an hour".

The Fox News anchor has invited "anyone who disagrees" with his views to come on his show. Especially feminism. If you're talking to a feminist and she's given you, well, you know men really need to be more sensitive and this, no, actually men don't need to be more sensitive. The same goes for Tucker defending child rapists.

He went on to say that Jeffs is "not accused of touching anybody; he is accused of facilitating a marriage between a 16-year-old girl and a 27-year-old man".

Trudeau himself discussed the case with Wilson-Raybould once last September 17, but denied any undue pressure was applied on her. Wilson-Raybould, unexpectedly demoted to the veterans affairs ministry in January, quit on February 12.

CO-HOST: Yeah, it's - you know what it is?

On the tapes, the TV host said that Warren Jeffs, who is now serving a life sentence after being convicted of felony child sexual assault for aiding an underage marriage, "is in prison because he's weird and unpopular and he has a different lifestyle that other people find creepy". He's an accessory to the rape of children. "Does it give you pause going on his show knowing that he said this?" In response, the shock jock asks Carlson if he was "physically capable" of enduring such unwanted advances or "do you take your hat off to this kid?" Do you believe what he has said in the past is relevant for today?

Carlson replied, "If it weren't my daughter I would love that scenario".

UltraViolet argued that Carlson's comments showed extreme sexism and that he defended domestic abusers and child rapists.

CARLSON: What do you mean an accessory? "I don't get that". Carlson replied: "So my point is that teachers like this, not necessarily this one in particular, but they are doing a service to all 13-year-old girls by taking the pressure off".
