R. Kelly's Girlfriend Breaks Down in Tears as She Fiercely Defends Him

Joycelyn Savage, 23, and Azriel Clary, 21, sat down with Gayle King for a CBS This Morning segment to refute allegations made by their parents that they are being abused and brainwashed by Kelly. Savage's parents have accused R. Kelly of kidnapping their daughter, though she says she's living with the singer of her own free will.

Craig said he was informed of the claims a month ago by Chicago police and has reached out to the victim, who lives outside of MI.

Both women claim that their parents have tried to exploit them to get money from the controversial singer, who was charged last month with 10 counts of sexual abuse.

CBS said it would air additional footage from the CBS interview on Wednesday and Thursday (local time). The rapper went on CBS This Morning to deny the allegations where R. Kelly also reacted to Lady Gaga pulling their duet, "Do What U Want".

King's Instagram photo which shows Kelly towering over her, mid-rant, served as a strong lead up to the interview. The latest clips to air on CBS This Morning saw Kelly talking about his financial situation, claiming he had $350,000 Dollars in his bank account, tried to put it in a new account in the last month and is still waiting for it to be processed - hence being unable to pay bail or child support. That's why most defence attorneys urge clients to keep quiet.

"Robert, it's always been said and he actually did admit this to me, I was shocked he was actually admitting this - because he can't read, he can't write and he can't add", she said.

He said "I didn't do this stuff". Yesterday (March 6), though, he was detained by police once again, this time over unpaid child support.

Kelly was arrested just several hours after his interview with the reporter because he failed to pay child support. For the second half, Kelly returned to his position in front of the camera, this time to argue that he has been exploited by those around him. I thought we were witnessing the self-destruction of a man having a breakdown and that's never a good thing to see, never. If the evidence against him is overwhelming, "this kind of interview might be kind of a Hail Mary" to influence a potential jury pool.

"There's nothing I felt sorry about him for because I know the type of monster he is, and I know he would cry at the drop of a dime", McGee said of the interview. The singer-turned-actress apologized for ever collaborating with R Kelly and said she was pulling their duet from all streaming services.

"R. Kelly has had a lot of issues with finances, and so right now, with things going on in his life, child support, [he] can't get booked", Johnson said.

Andrea Kelly's attorney declined to comment on the allegation.

Ms King spoke to Mr Kelly in Chicago, his home town, and asked if he had held any people against their will.

On Wednesday's broadcast, Kelly's emotions swung wildly as he explained he was simply someone with a "big heart" who was betrayed by liars who hoped to cash in. "This is not me!"

"First of all, I'm not here to talk about my personal life", Clary said.

"Okay, then", Clary said. Y'all trying to kill me! Y'all just don't want to believe the truth! Kelly is facing sexual abuse charges in Chicago and a judge sent Kelly to jail on Wednesday after he said he couldn't afford to pay $161,000 in back child support.

The singer's next court hearing is scheduled for 13 March.
