PGA Tour Announces Major Player Dress Code Change

On the eve of the first of four events of the World Golf Championship, the mini world circuit, the Italian player is ready in Mexico City to resume his race to establish himself among the world's best players.

It did not seem likely that Woods would play a third event in a row at the Honda and potentially five straight with the Arnold Palmer and Players tournaments upcoming.

A busy spring schedule has been the subject of much conjecture for Woods, who is playing his third event and second in a row at this week's WGC-Mexico Championship. In fact, Woods finished last season ranked 127th on the PGA Tour in driving accuracy percentage (59.35).

"Augusta started (being on my radar) probably back in October, November", Woods said in a pre-tournament press conference ahead of the WGC-Mexico Championship. Dustin Johnson has five career WGC wins and is the only player with a victory at each event.

Coming after a series of modest performances in 2019, Sharma, who was the Asian Tour Player of the Year in 2018, feels he has the game to win at the very highest level. Last season, he finished 31st at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational.

Shortly before he began his first round in Mexico, Woods posted a tweet which read: "Unfortunately, due to the schedule this year, I can not play all the events I want to". This is a smaller field event with just over 70 golfers in the field which means I'll be avoiding cash games. The 30-year-old American birdied the last four holes to win his fifth PGA Tour title.

Hialeah's Manny Machado agrees to historic contract with Padres
It was also speculated that Machado and Bryce Harper might command as much as $500 million apiece on the open market. Among free agents it tops Alex Rodriguez's $275 million, 10-year contract with the New York Yankees from 2008-17.

Xander Schauffele, United States - Regaining his form after losing 10 pounds recently in a bout with the flu, Schauffele regained his lead in the FedEx Cup standings with a tie for 15th in the Genesis Open.

This week's World Golf Championships Mexico Championship and the US PGA Puerto Rico Open will be the first tournaments offering golfers the apparel option.

Haotong Li, China - In his last start, Li chased Dustin Johnson all the way to the end before finishing second in the Saudi International.

"That's one of the reasons why I put in Tampa past year after missing the cut in LA".

Byeong Hun An, Slouth Korea - The 2009 U.S. Amateur champion, who played college golf at Cal, has won three times as a pro.
