Marcus Morris Rips Celtics After Loss to Clippers

The Boston Celtics guard exited in the second quarter of Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers after appearing to tweak his knee on a defensive possession. Irving suffered the injury in the Celtics' devastating loss to the Clippers on Saturday. The Celtics led 74-53 at halftime, but the Clippers outscored them 28-12 in the third.

Boston is in the midst of a rough patch, having lost their past two games despite holding big leads in each. It was the biggest blown lead by the Celtics since December 5, 2003.

Under Brad Stevens, the Celtics are 27-15 (64.3%) ATS when playing on at least a three-game ATS losing streak, profiting bettors 10.8 units.

The 26-year-old Australian-born American, the first overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, underwent left knee surgery last April. "And when I look at us, I just see a bunch of individuals." he added.

"His knee buckled a little bit in the second quarter, and so that's all I know", he said. I just thought the whole night we played the right way and we just tried to stay within ourselves and we didn't get too high or too low. "I felt like our backs were against the wall, so we all needed to come out and set the tone and we did that".

"I mean, for me, it's not really about the loss", Morris said, via ESPN. "Just hasn't been fun for a long time, man".

Embiid didn't have much to say about the officiating during his post-game press conference, but he made his point loud and clear. "We have to genuinely want to win, that has to be the first goal, whatever that change is, I'm with it". But I'm trying to win. Danilo Gallinari had 19 points and 10 rebounds and trade deadline acquisition Landry Shamet scored 13 of his 17 points in the fourth quarter. At times tonight you think, 'well, might you get Jonah [Bolden] in the game?' As I admitted in the pre-press conference, there's a tolerance level where I have where I want to learn. "It's unacceptable for what we did with a team of our caliber".
