Kyler Murray says he is 'fully committing' to becoming National Football League quarterback

According to ESPN's Jeff Passan, the Oklahoma Sooners Heisman victor will have to pay back $1.29 million of the $1.5 million the A's already paid him after drafting him ninth overall in 2018.

Oakland will retain his MLB rights if he does decide to return to baseball in the future and Murray will have to return the majority of his signing bonus. The odds of a high-school senior player being drafted by an Major League Baseball side are around one in 200. Murray used super agent Scott Boras for his baseball negotiations, but needed to hire someone well-versed on the football side of things. The Seahawks have the only starting quarterback shorter than 6-foot in Russell Wilson, who was measured at 5-foot-10 5/8 when he attended the combine in 2012. Mike Maccagnan loves to wheel and deal and the Jets could use some extra middle-round picks after last year's deal for the No. 3 pick.

That the Cardinals drafted quarterback Josh Rosen in the first round last season may or may not be a problem. Kingsbury said. "Kyler is a tremendous player, and I said that being very complimentary before we played an opponent. I would take him with the first pick if I could".

With Kyler Murray officially committing to professional football on Monday, rumors are circulating that the Arizona Cardinals will target the quarterback in April's draft, especially after new head coach Kliff Kingsbury said a year ago that he'd select Murray No. 1 overall if given the opportunity.

Alternatively, as some had hypothesized, the Cardinals could nab Murray and trade away Rosen, but Kingsbury's comments seemed to make that a less likely prospect after Tuesday than it was before.

Antonio Brown Tweets Goodbye to Pittsburgh and Asks Steelers for Trade
On Tuesday, Brown basically ended his career in the Steel City, and he bid farewell to the organization on Twitter . Fitting Brown under the salary cap, if he were to stay on his current deal, would be possible for the Eagles.

Burkhardt also represents Kingsbury.

Back in June, the A's took a big swing and drafted Murray with the No. 9 overall selection in the MLB Draft.

The Jaguars have been linked to Dwayne Haskins of Ohio State as well, who is expected to be the first quarterback drafted in April.

In addition, Mayfield's professional progress helps ease concern for National Football League folks considering Murray, which likely doesn't include the New York Giants. The last quarterback that was as short as Murray in the National Football League was Doug Flutie. "That's the kind of person you want with your first-round pick". He was committed to baseball, signed a contract, but went with football instead. The fifth year is guaranteed for injury when the option is exercised. If the pocket collapses he can scramble and extend a play.
