LeBron James picks Kevin Durant first for All-Star Game

With the NBA All-Star Game teams now selected via draft, fans of the league were interested to hear who would be taken where, so the league came through and chose to televise the event.

LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo were named All-Star captains after securing the most fan votes in this year's balloting.

Once Antetokounmpo started that round with Milwaukee teammate Khris Middleton, it was a relative no-brainer for James to go with Davis.

After choosing Durant first, James then added former Cleveland teammate Kyrie Irving to his team. Denver coach Michael Malone will make his All-Star debut, coaching Team LeBron. Veteran special additions Dwyane Wade and Dirk Nowitzki were designated for the final two picks of the draft.

Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki (41) greets Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James (23) before an National Basketball Association game between the Dallas Mavericks and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. But the Pelicans kept Davis as the trade deadline passed, so for now, their time as teammates will be limited to All-Star weekend and James pounced at the chance to grab him with the second pick of the reserve round.

House Intelligence Committee Meets, Makes Moves
It is possible that Mueller could have gained access to the documents through the intelligence agencies that are reviewing them. Mueller "will now have access to those transcripts for any objective that will facilitate justice", Schiff said.

"The best way to do this is for Giannis to trade everybody on his bench for Anthony Davis", Barkley joked, referencing the Lakers' reported offers to the Pelicans involving much of their young core. "I'm just kidding. I'm going with my buddy Dwyane Wade".

After the teams were created, James and Antetokounmpo made a trade, with James sending the Thunder's Russell Westbrook to the other side in exchange for the 76ers' Ben Simmons.

"F-- no", Westbrook replied, while Embiid said of his nemesis, "I don't know why he was mad". He then proceeded to add some worldwide flavor between his picks of Denver Nuggets big man Nikola Jokic and Philadelphia 76ers maestro Ben Simmons, all first-time All-Stars as well.

With a smile on his face, Antetokounmpo obliged and sealed the deal to send Simmons to Team LeBron, while the 76ers point guard was at home riding the rollercoaster of events.
