Kings Trade Shumpert to Rockets

Kings Trade Shumpert to Rockets

The rapper/defensive guard will be joining the Houston Rockets in a deal between the Sacramento Kings, Houston Rockets, and Cleveland Cavaliers.

Reports now indicate that Burks will be dealt to the Houston Rockets, with the Cavaliers picking up a first-round pick in the process.

Iman Shumpert is another notable name on the move ahead of this season's trade deadline.

Knight, Chriss and the first rounder are headed to Cleveland.

The Rockets are trading Nik Stauskas and Wade Baldwin to the Pacers less than 24 hours after acquiring them in a three-team trade, according to ESPN. Shumpert, known for his defensive prowess, has been hitting a near-career-best 36.6 percent of his career-high 4.8 3-point attempts per game.

In Cleveland's fourth in-season trade, the team has now gathered two first-round and six second-round picks.

Shumpert is the headliner in this deal and is a significant addition for the Rockets. The Cavaliers will also continue to look elsewhere as they seek to rebuild a team that now stands at 11-43 on the year.

This is the third time Stauskas and Baldwin have been traded in the last week.

The Mavericks receive Jackson, a 23-year-old, second-year small forward who averaged 6.7 points and 2.8 rebounds in 52 games, mostly in a reserve role. Shumpert is a free agent after this season, so they procure a pick rather than risk him walk away for nothing.
