21 Savage was arrested over the weekend in the United State of America for coming into the country illegally and is set for deportation. The 26-year-old rapper's lawyer notes that Abraham-Joseph's family overstayed a July 2005 visa.

Abraham Joseph also known as 21 Savage apparently entered the US legally in 2005 but his visa expired and he reportedly is here illegally according to reports. They also said that he was driving across a sidewalk in order to get to another street.

"There continues to be no legal reason to detain Mr. Abraham-Joseph for a civil law violation that occurred when he was a minor, especially when people in his exact situation are routinely released by ICE", the lawyer wrote.

Kuck also said that ICE was refusing to release his client on bond based on "incorrect information about prior criminal charges".

The firearm was allegedly listed in the inventory section of the police report.

According to Variety Jay-Z has enlisted his lawyer, Alex Spiro, to help assist in the rapper's case.

The rapper, whose real name is She'yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, was arrested on Sunday amid allegations he's a United Kingdom national who has been living in America since 2005 without the correct paperwork, and he has been detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) ever since and threatened with deportation.

Demi Lovato has deleted her Twitter after she received huge backlash for posting a meme about rapper 21 Savage.

And now, days later, the rapper is addressing his deportation through his legal team.

Abraham-Joseph arrived from the U.K.in 2005 with his mom but they never left like they were supposed to after their visas expired the following year. Jigga released a statement on the matter as well. Mr. Abraham-Joseph is presently in ICE custody in Georgia and has been placed into removal proceedings before the federal immigration courts.

"In addition to being a successful recording artist, Savage deserves to be reunited with his children immediately", Jay-Z said, while adding that his arrest was "an absolute travesty".
