Knicks Fans Chanted "We Want Kyrie" Friday Night vs. Celtics

Knicks Fans Chanted

Boston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving can become an unrestricted free agent this summer if he declines his 2019-20 player option with the team, and a handful of former and current Cavs players believe Irving will sign with the New York Knicks or Brooklyn Nets.

Is it possible that Kyrie Irving, now a superstar point guard for the Boston Celtics, could take his talents to Madison Square Garden next season and join up with the New York Knicks?

The trade to Dallas gave the Knicks money to chase two top free agents this summer, and fans showed Irving that they want him to be one of them, cheering him before and during his return from a two-game absence with a hip injury. He told reporters at the morning shootaround to "Ask me July 1" if his plans had changed. Also, having cap room allows teams to more easily facilitate trades, which could enable the Knicks to get into the Anthony Davis sweepstakes while New Orleans searches for a deal for its All-Star forward who has asked for a trade.

It was a long day that began with a number of Kyrie Irving comments causing a stir amongst National Basketball Association media at Boston Celtics' shootaround.

It was a game that was closer than expected with the Knicks missing a majority of their new roster following the Kristaps Porzingis trade that transpired on Thursday.

Russell Westbrook got his fifth straight triple-double and 18th of the season, finishing with 14 points, 12 rebounds and 14 assists as the Thunder defeated the Heat for the sixth consecutive time.

May Sets Out to Win Labour Rebels' Support Over Brexit Deal
But the prime minister's official spokesman said the government remained committed to leaving the European Union on 29 March. An amendment, which was aimed at enabling the House of Commons to vote on blocking a no-deal Brexit, was rejected.

"I appreciate the fans, I appreciate the support, but it's really about our team now and what we want to accomplish this season - and that's a championship, so my focus is stuck on that".

Torrey Craig scored a career-high 22 points off the bench for Denver, which ended a nine-game losing streak against the Rockets.

And Irving, as he usually does, said a lot. "I wish them the best".

But if Kristaps Porzingis and Luka Doncic turn into the frontcourt of the future in Dallas and the Knicks can't get anyone to take their money, basketball purgatory in NY could last a while longer. "I can't personalize that and put that on me", Fizdale said.

"If you guys will have me back, I plan on re-signing here", Irving said.
