Police Searching for Escaped Prisoner in Conroe; Considered Extremely Dangerous

Conroe police Lt. Dorcy McGinnis said at a news conference that 44-year-old Cedric Marks escaped from the private prisoner transport van Sunday when it stopped at a McDonald's in Conroe, about 40 miles (65 kilometers) north of Houston.

Multiple law enforcement agencies in Texas are looking for an escaped prisoner who has three pending murder charges. Their bodies were found January 15 in Oklahoma, and three days later Marks was named a suspect. He has not officially been charged in the deaths. Marks eluded the private transport agents near the 800 block of North Loop 336 West in Conroe.

Marks was wearing an orange jumpsuit and restraints.

Officials say that Cedric Marks has been apprehended, hours after his initial escape. T.J. Cruz of the Bell County Sheriff's Department told the Telegram. Authorities say he escaped while being transferred to Bell County to face that charge. Marks is a professional MMA fighter and is considered extremely risky, police officials stated.

Marks, who has not been charged in their deaths, was jailed in MI awaiting extradition for allegedly breaking into Scott's home back in August, according to the television station.

Two women were arrested in MI on charges related to Marks.

Senate passes amendment rebuking Trump's Syria withdrawal plan
McMaster, former National Security Council adviser, repeatedly warned Trump not to make a swift withdrawal from the Middle East. The US President, last year, had announced for the withdrawal of about 7,000 or up to half of the US troops in Afghanistan.

Marks was recaptured by law enforcement Sunday afternoon.

Ginell McDonough, who is Marks' wife and the mother of two of his two children, is jailed in Muskegon County, Michigan, on an obstruction of justice charge. She remains in the Bell County Jail with bond set at $500,000. KCEN-TV said Maxwell is accused of taking Swearingin's auto to Austin in an attempt to hide it.

April Pease, Marks' ex-girlfriend and mother of a son, was reported missing March 17, 2009, according to The Charley Project.

She also reported to police that Marks had broken into her home in August while her daughter, who was nine, was there.

Additional details were not immediately available. The two were involved in a fierce custody dispute in Washington state and Pease, who had a drug problem, went to live in a Bloomington women's shelter because she said she was afraid of Marks. She had a tattoo on her left buttock, one on her abdomen and a mole near her right eye.
