Trump Mocks Global Warming as Temps Sink: 'Please Come Back'

What the hell is going on with Global Warming?

The Midwestern United States is now enduring life-threatening cold temperatures-which these days all but ensures, as so many climate reporters and experts anticipated, an ignorant and even infuriating tweet from President Donald Trump conflating weather and climate.

"And in fact, "Global Waming" is making these extreme cold outbreaks more rare, exactly as we expected", said Grist staff writer Eric Holthaus. "In coming days, expected to get even colder", Trump tweeted Monday evening. Amid freezing temperatures previous year, Trump tweeted: "Brutal and Extended Cold Blast could shatter ALL RECORDS - Whatever happened to Global Warming?"

Wisconsin congressman Mark Pocan, whose state will experience freezing temperatures this week, immediately slammed Trump as a "moron" for not understanding why there could be cold temperatures amid global warming.

The United Nations has labelled climate change a "defining issue of our time" due to the drastic modifications in weather patterns caused by over a century of industrialisation. In 2012, he tweeted that global warming was created "by and for the Chinese in order to make US manufacturing non-competitive".

The New York Times summed up the difference between climate and weather this way: Climate refers to how the atmosphere acts over a long period of time, while weather describes what's happening on a much shorter time scale.

Anthony Davis Requests Trade From Pelicans
The Knicks are reportedly preparing a trade offer to the New Orleans Hornets for five-time All-Star big man Anthony Davis . Boston can not acquire Davis until the summer unless it were to include All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving in the deal.

In response to his tweet, several users mocked the president for his incorrect words and misunderstanding of climate change versus weather.

It wouldn't be the first time Trump's beliefs about global warming have contradicted data affirmed by his own government.

"In a warming world, you're still going to have unusually hot and unusually cold events happening in a particular part of the world", said Berkeley Earth climate scientist Zeke Hausfather.

"In the East, it could be the COLDEST New Year's Eve on record".

While many responders were quick to school the Yeti in Chief on how harsher winters actually support the global warming theory, countless MAGA folk laughed along with him.

Despite Trump's claims, 2018 was among the hottest on record across the globe and the planet is expected to get hotter according to experts.
