Jose Mourinho lands first job after getting the sack at Manchester United

However, the La Liga heavyweights face a major stumbling block in the form of their former manager's severance package at Manchester United, who are due to pay him £15 million.

After his last job it seems unlikely that Mourinho would be handed the keys to the Bernabeu straight away but you can never rule anything out when it comes to Jose or Real.

This alerted a host of European club's, with Benfica and Real said to have approached the Portuguese tactician.

Mourinho said he did not want to talk about his dismissal by United. Although he was able to win a total of three trophies in the two-and-half years he spent as a manager in the club.

If Mourinho joined a Premier League rival, the payment was to be £15m, with the fee set at £10m if the Portuguese joined a club in another league. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has won this first five games in charge, although that record will come against the stern test of Spurs this weekend.

Real Madrid will be hit by a £10million bill from Manchester United if they appoint Jose Mourinho manager for a second time.

US Supreme Court says Justice Ginsburg appears cancer free after surgery
On Dec. 21 , the Supreme Court press office reported that the surgery had been successful, and the nodules had been removed. On Friday , the court released a written statement saying there is no additional evidence of cancer.

There are no longer any ties to Manchester, and it looks as though Jose already has his eyes on his next move.

"I think I can safely say today that I have no intention of working in Portugal", Mourinho told Correio da Manha TV. "I'm fine at the moment".

"I'm not an option for Benfica right now".

Benfica's previous coach, Rui Vitória, left by mutual consent last Thursday with the Lisbon club third in the league and has now taken over at the Saudi club Al-Nassr.

"When you leave a club, you do not wash dirty clothes, you do not seek to, at least publicly, do any kind of criticism, it's an ended chapter and that's how I always did it".

According to Independent, The Portuguese will now work as a studio pundit for beIN SPORTS.
