Jayme Closs Spent First Night Home Next To Me, Says Aunt

"When we talk to kids, we talk about if someone is breaking your safety rules, you look for someone who is not breaking your safety rules, so Jayme escaped and went to the first person she saw and said that she needed help", Straub said. "Jayme is the hero in this case".

According to a neighbor, Patterson's parents moved away but the two sons continued to use the home.

Jayme has been described as "medically cleared", although Sheriff Fitzgerald was unable to comment on whether the youngster had endured any abuse while being held captive.

In the post, Jennifer writes 'Everyone is so proud of you, Jayme!'

Jake Thomas Patterson has been jailed on kidnapping and homicide charges. As an example, Fitzgerald said Patterson shaved his head to avoid leaving any hair as evidence during the assault.

Both Jayme and the suspect have made initial comments to authorities, he said. They did not find Jayme or a suspect or gun, they said at the time.

Naiberg, Jayme's grandfather, said he spent a few hours with her on Friday and she was largely silent.

The cabin is in Eau Claire Acres, a development about 10 miles outside the tiny town of Gordon, nestled in the dense evergreen forests of northwestern Wisconsin that are popular with vacationers in the summer and snowmobilers and ATV riders in the winter. I don't know where I am. But Fitzgerald said they never exhausted of looking for her.

Shortly after law enforcement came for Jayme, they arrested Patterson in his vehicle, while he apparently was looking for the girl.

Police found James Closs, 56, and Denise Closs, 46, shot dead in their home three months ago.

Fitzgerald says authorities don't know of any social media connection between Patterson and the girl.

Patterson, who was unemployed, remained largely an enigma Saturday.

"She said that this person's name was Jake Patterson, 'he killed my parents and took me, '" said another neighbour, Kristin Kasinskas.

Anyone with information about Bond may call the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office at 615-898-7720.

Almost three years ago, Patterson worked for one day at the same meat products facility where Jayme's parents worked - the Jennie-O Turkey Store plant in Barron.

He may have worked at another business in Barron but that hasn't been confirmed, the sheriff said.

It's the end of an ordeal the Barron County community has been searching for.

While authorities are still trying to determine the motive behind the kidnapping, more details about Patterson have emerged. Those two then rushed to Kasinskas' home, which was nearby.

Property records show that the cabin belonged to Patterson's father at the time of Jayme's disappearance. "Call 911 right now!"

"I'm happy to hear that Jayme is found alive and well, I'm happy for that", said Koua Lee, the brother of Hang Lee, who disappeared from St. Paul in 1993 when she was 17 and never has been found. He said Jayme told Federal Bureau of Investigation agents she didn't know him at all. Police are still investigating and say 'she is doing as well as circumstances allow'.

"She just yelled, 'Please help me!"

In a newly released photo, the teen is seen smiling with Smith. She recalled the teen looked disheveled, dirty and thin. The girl's grandfather, Robert Naiberg, insisted Saturday that none of them know him, raising questions about how Patterson became aware of Jayme.
