Blindfolded Driver Crashes Car While Doing ‘Bird Box’ Challenge

Police in Layton, Utah, say a 17-year-old girl was driving blindfolded when she lost control and crashed into another vehicle. Police say the young woman in question had pulled her hat over her eyes while she was driving, which resulted in the crash.

"Luckily no injuries", police wrote.

Sadly, some people still are still embracing the stupid, as seen by this 16-year-old motorist in the USA.

Police said that the teen initially told authorities that the crash occurred because she was talking to her friend and gotten distracted, KSL reported. They reportedly called out the Bird Box Challenge specifically.

The "Bird Box Challenge" takes its name from a recent Netflix movie "Bird Box", in which the characters must remain blindfolded.

Jets to hire Adam Gase as head coach
In 2015, Gase took over Chicago's offense and made Jay Cutler into a more consistent quarterback than he had been before. Mike Francesa opened Thursday's show by reacting to the Jets' hiring of Adam Gase as head coach.

The police department tweeted photos of two cars involved in the crash - one was a pickup truck with the front bumper bent, the other was a smaller vehicle with the entire driver's side crushed.

'Can't believe I have to say this, but: PLEASE DO NOT HURT YOURSELVES WITH THIS BIRD BOX CHALLENGE.

All this despite the fact that Netflix have actually warned people to stop doing the Bird Box challenge. One YouTube star also filmed himself driving while blindfolded.

Police are screening a charge of reckless driving with the city attorney.

Wreckless videos of people trying to do things while blindfolded have gone viral, prompting Netflix to issue a warning about the challenge.
