Jets to hire Adam Gase as head coach

Mike Francesa opened Thursday's show by reacting to the Jets' hiring of Adam Gase as head coach.

Mike McCarthy was sacked by the Green Bay Packers earlier this season and since then, the Super Bowl-winning coach has been looking for a job.

Gase, who was sacked by the Dolphins after his third season in Miami netted just seven wins, was considered one of the top coaching candidates despite posting back-to-back losing seasons with the Fins. His teams went 5-1 against the Jets. Gase was the Broncos' offensive coordinator during Manning's record-breaking 2013 season. In 2015, Gase took over Chicago's offense and made Jay Cutler into a more consistent quarterback than he had been before.

Dolphins Offensive Coordinator Dowell Loggains is expected to follow Gase to NY as his second-in-command barring any contractual snags, Rapoport reported. Gase was sacked following three seasons in South Florida.

Citizenship Amendment Bill passed in Lok Sabha
Samujjal Bhattacharyya from NESO said people in the region would not "accept the political injustice perpetrated by the BJP". The BJP has 61 members while 12 MLAs of the Bodoland People's Front and a sole Independent member are backing the party.

The second factor that pushed things in Gase's favor with the Jets' front office was his willingness to let others help him to build his staff. Earlier this week they announced Matt LaFleur was taking over as head coach. This included a Super Bowl winning season in 2011 and eight straight playoff appearances.

Gase, 40, has a reputation as a quarterback guru.

As such, they're going retread AND division retread with their hire, scooping up Gase.

"What this team needs is a new owner, because the owners are horrific", Benigno said.
