Oscars Have No Host This Year

During an appearance on Good Morning America on Wednesday, Hart stated plain and simply, "No, I'm not hosting the Oscars this year".

Hart was named as host of the 2019 Academy Awards show on December 4th of past year but stepped down amid the controversy of homophobic jokes.

Within the SiriusXM show, Hart noted that his tweets were reflective of the circles he frequented.

"I would like to call myself a perfectionist so if I do something I want to be able to give it my all and make sure that the production is a great representation of me and my talent, and I can't do that right now". I'm not giving no more explanation. "I don't know what you're looking for", he told Strahan on Wednesday. I want you to be happy, be gay, be happy. If you don't want to accept people for their change, then where are you trying to get to the equal part? "I understand you", he continued, adding that he hopes the LGBTQ community can forgive him and accept he's a different person from the one who sent those tweets nearly a decade ago. Quite how it'll work remains to be seen - the last time there was no main host, the result was a show that saw Rob Lowe singing with Snow White, a memorably bad example of the format. But within 24 hours, social media users had dug up tweets dating back to between 2008 and 2011 in which Hart used homophobic and hateful language. But he doesn't want "people to think there's a thing about me and the Academy". "It gets no more energy from me", Hart said. You're talking about two weeks I'd have to prepare.

Hart said the script was "amazing" and that he took on this more serious role as a "challenge", to show his fans there was a different side to him.

Washington was defensive line coach on Luke Fickell's Cincinnati staff in 2017 before jumping to MI . He spent 13 total seasons, including a stint in the early 1990s, coaching the Buckeyes' chief rival.

"If the fight from the LGBTQ community is equality, that's the fight". DeGeneres, herself a two-time Oscars host, argued that, "They are a small group of people who are very, very loud".

Moreover, the Academy, according to sources, was furious that DeGeneres, on her show, mischaracterized her phone conversation with an unnamed Academy official whom she contacted to lobby for Hart's reinstatement.

Later, he appeared on Ellen where both he and she called for viewers to embrace growth and change.

"I have made the choice to step down from hosting this year's Oscar's.this is because I do not want to be a distraction on a night that should be celebrated by so many fantastic talented artists", he wrote on Twitter.
