Josh McDaniels says 'book is closed' on interviewing for open jobs

Josh McDaniels says 'book is closed' on interviewing for open jobs

With the Packers hiring former Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator Matt LeFleur, McDaniels said "the book is closed" on his candidacy this offseason.

The Colts ultimately went with former Philadelphia Eagles' offensive coordinator Frank Reich, who has led Indianapolis to the divisional playoffs.

"I'm grateful for the opportunity I had, but obviously more importantly grateful for the opportunity I have here".

USC offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury is about to become the new head coach of the Arizona Cardinals, according to multiple reports Tuesday.

"I'm completely focused on the Chargers and our season and finishing it strong", McDaniels said.

An interesting side note to this is that, per Phil Perry of NBC Sports Boston, McDaniels didn't get a lot of interest from the eight teams looking to fill head coaching vacancies. I have appreciated every single one of them.

Fortunately, an MRI came back negative, but team doctors said he'd likely miss a couple of weeks in order to fully recover. LOS ANGELES (AP) - Tobias Harris scored 28 points and Los Angeles overcame a slow start to beat Orlando.

"I've said before, I think I have one of the best jobs in the world", he later added.

Kingsbury was sacked by Texas Tech after the Red Raiders finished the year 5-7 and missed a bowl game for the third time in the last five years, then hired as USC's offensive coordinator.

The former Detroit Lions (2014-17) and Indianapolis (2009-2011) head coach had the most National Football League experience among those who interviewed for Arizona's job. His coaching career hasn't been great outside of New England.

After going 1-11 in 2017, Rhule quickly turned things around in Waco, leading the Bears to a 7-6 record and a win in the Texas Bowl.

In his second season, Hollister appeared in eight games with one start and caught four passes for 52 yards. He spent his rookie year on injured reserve with the Patriots, and then was with the Saints in 2004 on their practice squad. "I know he'd be able to relate to quarterbacks". "I'm grateful for the opportunity to continue competing this week against the Chargers".
