Veteran Actor and ‘Coolie’ Writer Kader Khan Passes Away at 81

The doctors wasted no time in treating him but unfortunately he succumbed to his illness.

This is quite shocking to see because Khan has always been one of the most loved Bollywood actors, who always stayed away from any controversy.

Last year, unconfirmed media reports stated that Kader Khan had been moved to Canada for medical treatment. Kader Khan died after a prolonged illness at a hospital in Toronto in Canada on Tuesday. He was in the hospital for 16-17 weeks. He said the last rites will be held in a Toronto cemetery later in the day. Kader's son revealed that since their entire family is in Canada and they live there, so they would prefer having his last rites there.

From Khan's colleagues including Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher and Paresh Rawal, to young actors like Arjun Kapoor, all artists shared their condolences with Khan's family.

Multiple players told NFL Network that a big reason the team struggled in the first half was due to Brown's actions. Honestly, I think at this point they're just saying each other's name because the public loves it.

Born in Kabul to an Afghan father and a mother from British-controlled India, Khan made his debut in 1973 and acted in over 300 films, apart from writing dialogues for almost 250 films.

Most 80s kids though will remember him as a supporting, character actor, usually the bad guy in films produced by southern studios. He was an integral part of David Dhawan and Govinda collaborations in the 1990s, delivering blockbusters like Coolie No. 1, Saajan Chale Sasural, Hero No. 1, Dulhe Raja and Haseena Maan Jaayegi.

He further said that because he refused to address him as "sirji", Khan lost touch with Bachchan, and could not write dialogues for some of his films. Before entering the Bollywood in the early 70s, he was a professor of Civil Engineering at a college in Mumbai. He has worked with directors like Manmohan Desai and Prakash Mehra.

Among various projects, Kader had contributed to several Amitabh-starring films like "Amar Akbar Anthony", "Muqaddar Ka Sikandar", "Laawaris" and "Coolie" as a writer.
