Huawei Nova 4 with in-display front camera, triple-rear cameras launched

All told, it looks like a strong first foray into hole punch display territory for Huawei - give us your thoughts on the Nova 4 in the comments.

Judging by the press renders we've seen, the Nova 4's front-facing camera hole is slightly smaller than the one on the Galaxy A8s. Just as the teasers suggest, this will be Huawei's first full screen with a dot on the top left (doesn't have an official English term for it yet) which is the 25MP front camera.

The Huawei Nova 4 stacks its three lenses vertically unlike the Mate 20 Pro that arranges them in a box-style in the middle of the device. While the high-end variant comes with 48MP + 16MP + 2MP triple camera setup on the rear, the standard variant sports 20MP + 16MP + 2MP triple rear camera setup.

The other option comes with a 20MP Sony IMX586 primary camera, besides the same second and third cameras. The unveiling was supported with some neat slides, revealing that over 65 million people bought devices from the nova series that was launched two years ago. The Nova 4 also features a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel right next to the triple camera setup and face unlock support as well.

The Lakers scored six straight points, highlighted by a dunk from James, to get within 74-72 midway through the third quarter. The Los Angeles Lakers are averaging 113 points on 47.6 percent shooting and allowing 111.4 points on 44.8 percent shooting.

The 6.4-inch display on the Nova 4 has a resolution of 2310 x 1080 pixels, powered by a 3,750mAh battery with 18W fast charging via USB-C.

One of the most talkable features of the phone is of course the hole in the screen for the selfie camera, which offers a stonking 25 megapixels to capture every damn pore. A cheaper version with a 20 MP rear camera will be on sale for 3,100 yuan (about $450).

Huawei Nova 4 smartphone was launched in December 2018. The company is aggressively pushing the boundaries of smartphone photography as it aims to launch a smartphone in 2019 bearing four cameras paired with 10x optical zoom, so it is unfortunate that the OEM ignored lossless zoom when launching the Nova 4.
