OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition launches in India for ₹50,999 ($710)

The new sales figure comes as OnePlus deploys its new OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition, a variant of its 6T phone accelerated with 30-watt charging and 10GB of RAM. In addition to some cool, orange-hued live wallpapers, the special edition smartphone gets a different screen-unlock animation as well as a boot-up animation that features the McLaren logo, making the user feel like they're starting up a Senna or something. The smartphone supports what OnePlus calls Warp Charge 30. Papaya Orange has always been a hallmark of McLaren's auto design. The company has integrated a new Circuit in the charger as well as on the phone along with a tuned power management software will ensure that the power flow to the device will smooth without slowing down even while the device is being used. While it does appear that Warp Charge is just a simple rebrand of Dash Charge, Warp Charge 30 promises to give you one day of power in 20 minutes.

As far as the optics is concerned, the McLaren edition has two cameras on the back. The new device marks the start of a long-term partnership that celebrates a shared passion for speed.

OnePlus will launch the OnePlus 6T McLaren edition phone in India today. Angle the phone a bit and note the embedded carbon fiber design under the glossy black glass. That means faster charging and the McLaren Edition will charge to 50 per cent battery in 20 minutes. This should provide plenty of power for multitasking, on top of the beefy Snapdragon 845 processor that also sits in the original flagship.

As well as this upgrade the phone also comes with 10GB RAM as standard as opposed to the 6- or 8GB of the regular 6T models. This means that the new McLaren Edition OnePlus will be as responsive and swift as a Formula One vehicle!

Kotex tampons voluntary recalled after reports of pieces being left in body
Kimberly-Clark, the parent company of Kotex, has announced it is recalling one of its tampons because of quality-related defects. Retailers have been alerted to remove recalled lot numbers from shelves and to post notifications in stores, the company said.

All of this combined, you get OnePlus' most expensive phone to date. You've got a nice McLaren logo there along the bottom edge, too.

The device will be available in Western Europe and North America on December 13, with availability in India, China, and the Nordic countries soon after that. OnePlus 6T McLaren edition will feature in a Papaya Orange/black colour variant, as the charging cable can also be seen in Papaya yellow.

Like special edition phones from other OEMs, changes to the McLaren Edition are mostly visual.
