Milwaukee Bucks trade Matthew Dellavedova to Cleveland Cavaliers for George Hill

The Bucks have traded guard Matthew Dellavedova, John Henson and two draft picks to the Cavaliers for veteran guard George Hill, according to ESPN. Washington will send centre Jason Smith and a future second-round pick to the Bucks, Wojnarowski reports, and will also acquire a 2021 second round pick from the Cavaliers.

Hill was traded to Cleveland from the Utah Jazz at last year's trade deadline. According to Zach Lowe, the first-rounder would convey if 15-30 in 2021, 11-30 in 2022, 11-24 in 2023, 9-30 in 2024 or become second-round picks.

The undersized point guard averaged 5.7 points and 3.4 assists per game during his three seasons in Cleveland, including an epic 2015 Finals performance that saw him score 20 points in Game 3 while leading the Cavaliers to victory. Milwaukee also receives power forward Jason Smith in the trade. "Brings us veteran leadership, a guy that's won before, a guy that's going to push Collin (Sexton), control the game for the second unit and he'll make shots".

Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo praised Hill as "a great point guard" while lamenting the loss of Henson and Dellavedova.

"I think it will be good for our team, not just for myself, but for our team".

Thursday's seasonal update also adds some new wintry locations, such as Frosty Flights, Polar Peak, and Happy Hamlet. According to the studio, "Each new season gives us an opportunity to evaluate the current item rotation".

As a member of the Cavaliers for three seasons from 2013 to 2016, Dellavedova developed a strong bond with his teammates because of his hustle and team-first approach to the game.

Henson, 27, hasn't played in a month, recently had wrist surgery and is expected to miss several months.

Milwaukee now has the second-best record in the Eastern Conference, trailing the Toronto Raptors by 3.5 games, and managed to save around $18 million in cap space for next season by moving two hefty contracts in the deal.

As far as the third team is concerned, Dekker gives the Wizards a 3-point threat. To be fair, the Cavs have actually had suprisingly high turnouts to games considering LeBron's exodus to Los Angeles.

The original trade including Cleveland forward Sam Dekker, but he has been rerouted to Washington. Dekker, who underwent back surgery during his rookie season, has not played since suffering an ankle injury on November 5. Dekker, out since suffering an ankle injury on November 5, was expected to be available Saturday when the Cavaliers hosted the Wizards.
